Main objectives of the project is to create an office local area network that's connect to Internet through oss proxy with dual Internet connection for continuously connectivity. Some of the application being used such as shorewall, squid, dansguardian, ftp service and DNS service. All the client will point to the LAN proxy as the gateway. The Internet connection being used are Jaring leased line and also streamyx enterprise package. Both line are used as a backup for each other. If both line are up, Jaring leased line only used for operational and connection to headquarters while streamyx line used for internet access activities. If Jaring leased line down, all connectivity will used Streamyx ADSL line and also the other way around. Connection status being checked automatically using cronjob.

Vision for this project is to apply Mambo Content Management System (CMS) in web site faculty. The Mambo is free and open source software (oss). It is a dynamic CMS and uses the free MySQL database for storing data.

The Surveying and Land Register administration of the German Federal state Rhineland-Palatinates (LVermGeo) started to migrate its IT environment towards open source software. At the Linux Tag 2005 in the German city of Karlsruhe, Klaus Thoenissen, Joerg Steffens as well as Ralf Dobberschuetz form LVermGeo presented details of the upcoming open source migration.

This document is designed to provide detailed report for the preparation of a dedicated OSS web server for the Budget 2008 presentation day conducted by the Ministry OfFinance (MOF). The solution provided by OSCC has successfully performs reliably and received more than 130,000 page views without any problem. The solution also provided significant cost savings as it eliminated the need for expensive hardware.
